Veteran Bengali Actor Somitr Chaterjee Admitted To Icu In Critical Condition

Senior Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee (85) was shifted to the ICU of a private hospital late Friday after his health deteriorated. Hospital sources gave this information on Saturday.

Chatterjee's coronavirus report came out positive on 5 October. Actors are also suffering from many other diseases. They have been shifted to the ICU to closely monitor them.

On October 5, a day after Kovid-19 positive arrived, he was admitted to the hospital, but then the condition was stable.

Sources said that Chatterjee had been unwell for the past few days and reportedly had fever. He was shooting a documentary titled 'Abhijan' directed by actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay.

He shot in Bharathalakshmi Studio on 1 October. The next shoot was on 7 October. According to the information, the actor has a chronic disease related to the lungs. Last year, he was admitted to the hospital for a few days due to pneumonia.
